|Microsoft Access Database - 82444 - NCCT 100 - 060|
This non-credit course provides introductory through intermediate level training in the creation of database management systems using Microsoft Access. Instruction includes an introduction to Microsoft Access, database creation and maintenance, database querying, the generation of custom forms and reports, and integration of Access with other programs.
Course Note: 1) Students must have Windows file management skills and be able to use web browsers and online learning tools. This course requires the use of a PC computer running Windows 7 or higher, 4GB Ram, High Speed Internet Connection – 2 Mbit or Higher, Microsoft Access 2013, and a MyItLab subscription. This is not feasible for most Apple Mac computers. Students may use Main and West Campus labs to complete assignments if they lack the necessary hardware or software at home. Office 2013 will be available for download through MyItLab for approximately $13 or free through the department DreamSpark program the second week of class. A course ID for MyItLab will be provided by the instructor on the first day of class. You can add as many CIT courses as you take within two years to a single MyITLab account as long as they use the same version of Microsoft Office that you started with. 2) An online course may require students to travel to an exam site for proctored exams.
